About Me

I’m Maryam — a certified Birth and Postnatal Doula, and proud mother to four wonderful children. My path into this work has been a gradual unfolding, shaped by over 20 years in education as a teacher and SENCo, supporting children and families across the UK and Dubai. That experience taught me how to hold space gently yet meaningfully — to listen deeply, honour individual needs, and advocate with compassion.

Long before I trained as a doula, I found myself instinctively doula-ing those around me — holding quiet space for friends and family during pregnancies, losses, and the sacred in-between moments. That steady presence is still at the heart of how I support others now.

My approach is holistic and rooted in calm, intuitive care. I support birth and postpartum as powerful life transitions — not problems to solve, but thresholds to be honoured. I work with a trauma-aware lens, offering guidance, emotional steadiness, and grounded tools like breathwork, mindfulness, and journaling to help you connect with your own deep knowing. I trust that you already hold the wisdom you need — my role is simply to walk beside you.

Becoming a mother to four has shaped me more deeply than any textbook or training ever could. My personal journey through birth and parenting — with its beauty, intensity, and vulnerability — is what deepened my calling to serve others during this transformative time.

Whether we’re preparing together for birth, navigating the early postpartum days, or simply holding space for the emotional side of this journey, my aim is always the same: to create a safe, respectful space where you feel supported, seen, and never alone.

Let’s begin wherever you are. I’d love to connect and explore how I can support you.
